If you still have a Nintendo 64, keep it, love it, and treasure it forever.
This trusty old console is still one of the most fun to play with. At college, a few rooms have N64s, and let
me tell you, these are the most popular rooms. Almost every hour of the day, you can find a group of friends hanging out and playing their N64s. And if you don’t see any, all you have to do is say Mario Kart for N64 and conversations spread like a wild fire. It’s amazing how much college students love their N64s. The consoles still work perfectly fine, and we all still enjoy the simple games with little graphics.
I personally love Mario Kart. I love the stages/levels in this version; even more than the decked out later versions. Koopa Troopa Beach? Amazing. Another good game that almost everyone plays is Super Smash Brothers. There are people here who complain about how they can no longer play the Brawl version for the Wii because their hands have gotten so used to the old N64 version. The games are simpler but so much fun. It brings back the memories of “the good ole days” and brings together people in the dorm.
I’m so excited because my roommate’s dad is bringing her N64 with him when he comes to visit. The only thing is that our room is too small to fit more than a few people in it! Well, I suppose I could just hog the system for myself. Just kidding.
If your N64 still works, keep it as long as you can. If you don’t play yours anymore, wipe off that dust and pull it out. Try the game, I guarantee you’ll fall in love again.
