Fun and Games on Pogo

October 21st, 2009 by Anna P.

I just recently joined Pogo, which is yet one of the many online gaming websites out there. The good news about Pogo is that it’s family friendly, which is something that you’ll want to share with your children. While you can join ClubPogo (their premium membership for a small price), the free version of Pogo is just as fun as you still can play games, collect and redeem tokens for monetary prizes. Here is a sampling of their games.

Like the childhood version, Pogo’s Hangman Hijinks is relatively easy. The aim of this game is to guess three small to medium words in the same round. Each round mentions a title category to make guessing easier (it’s only in the easy level mode, though). During each round, you’re only allowed seven guesses, so once you reach your eighth the game is over. Once you complete a round by correctly guessing all three words, you’ll get a bonus round where you’ll have 1 large word to guess. Some of the letter already are chosen, so all you have to do is finish filling in the letters, but be careful because after 5 incorrect guesses the game is over.  Playing this game is more relaxing than anything. If you’re looking for a real challenge, look elsewhere.

I am starting to get more into Sudoku type games, so, of course, I had to check out Sudoku Puzzle Blast. As with regular Sudoku, you have to fill out each grid correctly with  numbers 1 through 9. You also have to make sure that none of the numbers repeat themselves in  the vertical or horizontal lines. Since there are nine boxes of grids, it’s really like solving small puzzles to solve the big puzzle. What makes this game a bit different is that you have to move the corresponding number puzzle blocks into the correct spaces, since half the game is already filled out it’s a bit of a challenge. If you love puzzle games, then you’ll enjoy solving this virtual number puzzle.
