Surgeons May Benefit from Playing Video Games

by Bea March 31st, 2009 | General Gaming News
People started researching the relationship between playing video games and surgery years ago, but I thought that it would be interesting to continue to spread the word about this finding--especially to the gamers out there who need an excuse to continue to play more video games during their day.

That's right, researchers have found that the doctors who spent at least three hours a week playing video games made about 37% fewer mistakes in surgery. They also completed the surgery tasks 27% faster than the people who did not play video games. Granted that the people who played the video games

WaW DLC

by B Kenney March 24th, 2009 | Console Games
Call of Duty: World at War was released in November 2008 and instantly became a hit like its predecessors. It featured very fast paced combat, both online and off, set in a World War 2 related timeline. One new feature that was adopted, which was never as prominent in earlier Call of Duty games, is a more mature theme. by Bea March 10th, 2009 | Game Reviews
I don't believe that there is an end all, be all list that states the top ten video game of all time, but different people have their lists. I was perusing the various lists and was surprised to see that most of the games on the list are all fairly "old", if one could consider a video game from the 1990s old.

What were some of the repeating top games? Nintendo's Super Mario Bros., or some version of it, such as Super Mario Bros. 3, was on every single list. Nintendo also had  two other smashing hits, Mario Kart 64 and

Becoming a Metal God

by B Kenney March 3rd, 2009 | Console Games
The many versions of Guitar Hero have garnered millions of fans, all wanting to take part in a virtual guitar/band experience. The list of Guitar Hero games is long and even includes one featuring the world renowned band Aerosmith and is jam packed with their premium tracks. There is definitely no shortage of games that allows normal gamers the ability to shred ridiculous riffs on a guitar controller. There was, however, a shortage of games that let you experience the life of a rock god but not anymore.

On March 29, 2009, Activision and Neversoft will release Guitar Hero: Metallica for
