A Brain Controlled Game?
by Bea February 24th, 2009 | General Gaming NewsOfficials of U.S. technology venture firm NeuroSky Inc. say that a brain controlled video game is excepted to hit the Japanese market sometime in 2009.
What is the concept behind this brain controlled game? Well, this company has made a headset called MindSet. The headset can tell the mental states of users by analyzing their brain wave signals, and then this data is interpreted and transmitted wirelessly. You have to have a lot of concentration to play with this headset. Apparently, the characters will not run quickly or throw balls very far unless the users concentrate enough.

In an earlier post, Super Monkey Ball 2, you found me boasting about how surprisingly fun I found Super Monkey Ball 2. For my birthday, my sister got Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, a version of Monkey Ball specifically for the Wii, for me. I was extremely excited about this for two reasons: 1. I like Monkey Ball, and 2. Super Monkey Ball 2 has a main game that's all about balance and precision, and when it is combined with the Wii I really expected a great game.

It is no question whether or not video games play a big role in society today. Many adults, children, and families spend their leisure time interacting with video games on a regular basis. Especially now during the current state of the economy many families are staying home during the weekends or free time instead of traveling. However, this information does not mean that most people should allow their youngsters to play video games all day every day, as I think most parents would agree. Playing time should be monitored and strict when it comes to video games; children do need
